The estate is under management of the nonprofit group Historic Ford Estates, which also oversees the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, Fair Lane closed for renovations in 2010. The house is closed to the public because it's being renovated, but the grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.

The historical park contains a museum, the Samuel R. Kingsley House, a 1929 windmill, a 1900 freight house and a 1949 caboose. These can be seen anytime. The museum and the Kingsley House are open 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The Kingsley House contains genealogical archives for the Romulus area.
